Shipwreck Checkpoint
Drain the Lake Shipwreck checkpoint guide: first zone, ~5 minutes, no hazards, Token machine basics, and route to Cavern.
First Checkpoint
Shipwreck is the first checkpoint in Drain the Lake. Most players reach it within about five minutes with the default bucket. No shark or lava hazards appear here — focus on learning scoop rhythm, pouring into the machine, and spending first Skill Tree points on Character movement speed.
Token Machine Loop
Fill your bucket in the lake, carry water to the Shipwreck machine, and pour to convert volume into Tokens. Repeat until you can afford key computer upgrades. The Get Tokens guide covers optimization.
Badge: Sunken Secrets
Reaching Shipwreck unlocks the Sunken Secrets badge worth 40 Gems. Claim at the Badges NPC in the lobby — see Badges guide.
Gear for Shipwreck
Starter wooden bucket is enough. If you have Gems, Plastic Bucket (200 Gems, +5% fill speed) is the first lobby purchase worth considering.
Next: Cavern
After draining enough water and upgrading skills, proceed to Cavern where parkour and the shark appear. Read Getting Started for the full early route.

Extended Guide Notes
Do not rush past Shipwreck without understanding the pour-and-upgrade loop — every later checkpoint assumes this muscle memory.
