Drain the Lake Map & Checkpoints

Complete Drain the Lake Roblox map guide: six checkpoints from Shipwreck to Abyss, hazards, Token machines, and Phone Ending route.

How the Lake Map Works

Drain the Lake progresses through six named checkpoints — not flat layers. Each run starts in the lobby where you equip a bucket bought with permanent Gems (Diamonds). In the lake you scoop water, pour it into checkpoint machines, earn Tokens for the Skill Tree, and push deeper until you reach the Abyss and recover your phone.

Per-run progress resets when you return to lobby, but Gems, unlocked buckets, and badge rewards persist. Verified July 16, 2026.

Tokens vs Gems on the Map

Tokens come from pouring bucket water into checkpoint machines — spend them on the in-run computer Skill Tree. Gems come from chests, badges, and the UPD LOG; spend them in the lobby on better buckets. Do not confuse the two economies when planning routes.

Hazards Overview

Shark appears in the Cavern — getting caught earns the Plunge badge. Anglerfish arrive with Update 1 in deeper zones — faster and more dangerous than sharks. See the full Lake Enemies guide. Lava damages you in Molten and Lost City. Upgrade Character movement early to survive parkour sections.

Map Updates

Lotus Arts hotfixes the experience regularly. Update 1 (July 11, 2026) adds anglerfish threats — track details on Update 1 page and Update Log.

Extended Guide Notes

Checkpoint names match in-game badge requirements — use them as navigation anchors instead of abstract "layers." Pair each checkpoint page with the matching walkthrough chapter.
